Fabio Viola I think I listened to this album 500+ times, I don't know. Bought the CD back in Japan when it came out and obsessed over it for months, years. It didn't get the praise it deserved but 15 years on it's still one of my favorite things in the world. Favorite track: Like Bullets.

uberdork I got this when it came out in 2006, and loved it. I am happy it is on Bandcamp now. I love the heavy bass lines and morose and haunting vocals. This is for fans of Joy Division and early Cure with a foot firmly in the mid 2000's revival of the sound a la Interpol. Definitely their own thing though, and interesting it comes from Atlanta! Who knew something this cold wave could come from such a steamy place. Favorite track: Like Bullets.

theMichaelFrank I dig this album, I can’t say one track stands out more than others, solid and consistent album. It sounds like that era from which it came (released 2006)= that kinda indie, post-punky rock that’s got some dancey vibes throughout. Definitely worth the 5bills. Favorite track: Black Eyes.

about

Atlanta's SNOWDEN drowns their brand of melodies in a sea of reverb heavy distortion and hypnotic layers. Anti-Anti (JT1115), the band's debut album for Jade Tree, integrates the ethereal guitar resonance and dynamic percussion reminiscent of bands like RIDE, NEW ORDER and early CURE, with the volatility of contemporaries such as THE YEAH YEAH YEAHS. Combining a mix of tracks recorded by Erik Wofford (The Black Angels, Explosions in the Sky, My Morning Jacket) at Cacophony Recorders in Austin with tracks recorded and mixed by principal songwriter Jordan Jeffares, Anti-Anti finds Jeffares and company elevating their trademark sound into an unpredictable mix of dirty pop soundscapes. If post-shoegaze exists as a genre, then SNOWDEN is proving their contention for the upper ranks.
